CCA Captures Top Nine Places In Statewide Stock Competition!
CCA has captured the top nine places in the final standings of the statewide investing competition.
The top entry for CCA was Micah Jocoy who built his $100,000 starting account to over $179,000 in ten weeks. During the Spring game the major market indeces (Dow Jones Industrials, S&P 500 rose by just over 1%.
Seven CCA students saw their portfolios rise by more than 25% during the contest.
There were more than 390 entries in this year’s Spring competition. The best of the non-Pilot entry was from Jesuit High School (Portland), generating a net gain of $14,207.
CCA’s investors came from Mr. Halseide’s economics classes with Roger Shaffer serving as advisor for the game.
