Canyonville Christian Academy’s Fourth Dorm Construction Site
Canyonville Christian Academy has started the preparation for the boarding school’s fourth dorm.
The dormitory itself will be adjacent to the gymnasium. It will be a two story building that is 8,000 square feet, and will be designed to hold 25 students. It has not yet been determined whether this dorm will be for boys or girls, it will depend on enrollment trends.
CCA anticipates construction to begin this summer of 2014, and have it ready for occupancy for the fall of 2015.
The total estimating costs including landscaping, fixtures, and street improvements will be in the $1,000,000 range. If the current enrollment continues as it has been for the past several years, the school fund set aside for the building will pay for a significant part of the building project.
The Christian Academy has not yet settled on a name for the new dorm.
At the end of the graduation service, guests will be invited to a short groundbreaking ceremony at the construction site.
