Basketball Teams Start Strong!
The Canyonville Christian Academy boys’ basketball team
collected a pair of wins in week one of the 2014-15 season.
The Pilots defeated Milo Academy 61-44 in the campaign opener and got their second win over Butte Falls 38-33. The lone loss was to the Cascade Christian JVs 36-41 in the championship game of the CCA Invitational Tournament. Ivan Sandrali anchors the boys on offense with an 18.7 points per game average.
Canyonville Christian Academy’s girls’ basketball squad also collected two wins in the first week.
Both victories came at the expense of the Glendale Pirates (44-15, 35-21) but the Pilot gals came up short against Butte Falls by the score of 17-27.
