Stock Market Students Head To Washington DC & New York City

Canyonville Christian Academy’s stock market team who competed in this year’s state investing competition but was excluded from the national stock market competition will be meeting with members of congress, including presidential candidate Rand Paul, at the capitol hill complex in Washington, DC May 10-11.  They will then be traveling to New York City to be interviewed by media the following two days.

 

Stock pickers making the trip are Brian Powell (2016 Oregon champion), Kwon Choi, Aldona Knysiak, and Merveille Maroya.  CCA’s students have been a dominant force in stock market events for many years, including national (Capitol Hill Challenge)  champs in 2014 and 2015.

The trip is in response to CCA being excluded from the national investing competition.  CCA has been excluded by the game sponsors for reasons that have not been adequately explained to our students.
