Roger Shaffer Hall – Boys’ Dormitory
The Roger Shaffer Dorm is an 8000 square foot 2 story boys’ dormitory. It houses 27 boys from 12 different countries.
Some features of each room: Each bedroom features a shared Jack & Jill bathroom, heat & air-conditioning control and has built in furniture that was custom fabricated for the dorm.
To create a healthy study/homework environment, there is a large custom built study area with plenty of room to study undisturbed. Other features include 2 laundry area’s (one upstairs and one downstairs) making it convenient for dorm rooms on each floor to have a handy place to wash clothes and bedding.
Also featured in this dorm are two entertainment areas for relaxation. These entertainment area’s are equipped with couches and wall mounted televisions. The first area is on the first floor adjacent to the kitchen, and the second one is on the second floor, above the kitchen area.
A dean’s apartment, and an assistant dean’s efficiency apartment complete this new dorm. Each have handy features making them very homey for the deans.
