High School Senior Breaks Long-Standing Record
The all-time Canyonville Christian Academy record in the girls’ triple jump fell to Sasha Eck, a senior, at the May 8 Oakland Twilight meet. Her mark of 32-0 bested the old standard of 31-6.5 set by Cori Henderson in 1995.
Other top Pilot efforts at the 10-school competition included a 1st in the 100m dash by Gabriel Martin (11.46), 2nd in the 1500m run by Diego Rubio (4:34.91), 2nd in the girls’ 400m relay (54.30), and a 2nd in the long jump by Samuel Kim (19-5).

Next up for CCA’s track teams is the district championship meet May 16 at Oakridge High School.
