Pilot Boys Lose a Pair of Close Games
Canyonville Christian Academy‘s boys’ basketball team opened league play January 8 with a 45-59 loss at Riddle. The teams were tied at halftime but the Pilots gave up 23 points to the Irish in the 3rd quarter.
In their second conference game, CCA was within just two buckets of the Crow Cougars with a quarter to play. However, the Pilots were unable to close the margin and lost by a final score of 66-57. Ivan Sandrali poured in a total of 45 points in the first two league games of the season.
The girls’ basketball team also came up short in their first pair of games in 2015.Riddle topped the Pilot gals 47-31, while Crow was victorious 67-41.
