Jessica Johns – 2A State Champion

CCA senior Jessica Johns won the OSAA State 2A shot put championship May 21st with a throw of 40-0.
Jessica recorded the five longest puts and won the event by a whopping two feet six inches! Also competing in the state track meet were Keith Soules (javelin), Serge Sandrali (3,000 meters) and Lucky Chen (100 meters).
In the state tennis tournament Tim Chen advanced to the quarterfinal round before falling in a hard-fought match to Crook County’s Trevor Brown. Chen finished the season with a 12-2 record.
